The Woodmans Summer sessions musicians!

Here are the artists that will be playing with us this summer and a description of what they bring:

Ben Barnes - Ben has been doing the circuit on the isle of Wight since I can remember. Knowing ben from school, he was one of the people that got me into play guitar. We were both later in an original band called "Jacuna" which played the festival a few times as well as supporting other big bands such as Clearlake, and Fortune Drive. His voice is Ben's main weapon but accompanied by his very rhythmic guitar playing is quite the treat for your ears.

One of our locals favourite - Sean Goodfield - Sean is a naturally talented guitar player, he never went to music "school" and instead was taught by his musical dad while growing up. His guitar playing stuff is very full on and with his raspy voice, the set is always welcomed and goes down a treat

Mike Le Ray - Mike, like ben, has been on the isle of Wight circuit for many years. Back when i was in my original band Jacuna, We teamed up with mike many times in his band "Cozy Flashback" . Mike style is one of his own, theres not many people around that sound like him which for sure peaks peoples interest when they first hear him. As well as a talented singer, his guitar playing is also on point and when put together he creates a wonderful vibe where ever he plays.

Emily Bowden - While we dont know much about Emily's past, We were blown away by Emily when we run a competition last year at the open mic on the last gig off the summer, where the winner would get a paid gig at the summer chill sessions. Emily, got up and stage and blew everyone away, her voice is shockingly beautiful and sings with near perfect phrasing. We cant wait for Emily to wow people who haven't seen her yet!

Jules Nelson - This man needs no introduction! The walking Jukebox as i call him. Jules has been doing the isle of Wight circuit for many many years. His band which has now disbanded "cornerstone" was known back in the day as the go to band for entertainment on a night out. Jules then went out on his own, playing in different bands as well as his own set. One of the best guitarist on the island, he can pretty much play any song you put to him.

Ben & Nat - This is Mr Ben Barnes again, but with his better half Natalie! She brings a different vocal range which is well accompanied by bens harmonies. She brings curb appeal to Bens solo act with a beautiful range to her voice and a beautiful smile and banter with the crowd, with bens witty humour, they often get the crowd involved bringing smiles to peoples faces with their music and humour.

All of these lovely musicians will be playing at our "Woodmans summer chill sessions" from 5:30 to 7:30 every Sunday through the summer holidays. With the music, we also provide street food from our Wood kitchen from 5:30 - approximately 7pm.
